A mine worker was taken to a local hospital Saturday night after being injured in Washington County.

The victim, whose name and condition have not been released, was injured at the Consol Energy Mine in West Finley Township around 6 p.m.

Crews said the victim had to be driven to the hospital, instead of flown, because of the weather.

Officials have not released any other information about the incident.
